Jo started her career in the private sector and gained much of
her initial IT experience working for the Automobile Association
in Basingstoke. She joined the NHS in 1991 and has held a variety
of IM&T posts in both a health authority setting and two large
acute trusts. In 2000 she changed her career within the NHS to
develop skills in change management and service improvement and
redesign. With many years' experience
of working in the NHS, firstly in IM&T
and more latterly in change management and service improvement,
Jo
has in-depth
knowledge
of
how to deliver
both technical
and process changes to services. She has strong interpersonal
skills and is comfortable working with all levels of staff. She
is experienced in bringing together teams, facilitating and developing
them to deliver change and improvement to the NHS. She has well-developed
strategic planning, programme and project management skills. Her
technical background coupled with her change management skills
allows her to bridge that gap between technology and delivering
improvements in patient care.
