Julia is a highly experienced Project Manager with over 20 years
in-depth knowledge of NHS IT. Julia has recently project managed
one of the largest independent sector systems integration projects
for BMI Healthcare, the hospital division of the General Healthcare
Group; this successful project has provided an integrated patient
management system in 49 hospitals across the UK.
Julia was previously Head of the Product Management and Consulting
divisions of Shared Medical Systems, she was responsible for the
strategy and development of the leading Healthcare Information
Support System (HISS) in the UK, prior to NPfIT. Julia programme
managed the development and implementation of major software releases
across a client base of over 200 hospitals.
Julia has strong strategic planning and process optimisation skills.
She brings a sharp, analytical approach to tasks such as cost benefit
analyses and process re-design. She has extensive systems integration
skills, having co-ordinated a range of complex projects such as
Trust mergers, including HISS and departmental data interfacing.
Having successfully managed groups of business consultants on
large IT projects, Julia has developed excellent team building
capabilities. She has extensive experience in both acute and primary
care and, having a clinical background, is fully familiar with
clinical information imperatives.
