Mike has extensive
knowledge and experience in NHS Information Technology gained over
the past 25 years. This experience includes a wide range of
application
functionality together with a deep understanding of Supplier Management,
Customer Service, IT support (for both hospital and community services),
along with network design, administration and support. He has worked
on several Department of Health
national projects including Community Resource Management and the
Electronic Health Record Pan Community Demonstrator. A
highly effective manager with a confident style that provides
a strong technical lead combined with the ability to provide vision
and direction and
communicate it effectively. Michael'
s experience to date has ensured a thorough knowledge and detailed
understanding of managing
all aspects of information technology services allied to the
major problems facing a modern health service; with considerable
experience of building
successful multi-disciplinary teams, managing change and motivating
staff. He is a skilled events organiser and
presenter who has achieved success
in the introduction of a variety of new systems, working practices
and the consolidation of older
systems.
