"The Trust was formed on 1st April 2003 and inherited a range of ICT services. HealthSystems Consultants Ltd worked closely with the Trust to develop a strategy which would facilitate the achievement of the Trust's objectives and take account of national and local services and strategic developments.
We were delighted with HealthSystems' input to our strategy and have now asked them to assist in its roll-out across the Trust."

"During 1999 interRAI was seeking to find suitable software to support our MDS-RAI assessment instrument used in the care of older people. HealthSystems Consultants helped us to find a suitable software partner in Canada and have since then become very involved with the NSF for the care of older people."

AIS Assessment and Intelligence Systems Corporation - "During 1999 HealthSystems Consultants approached me on behalf of interRAI UK to see whether Momentum Healthcare in Winnipeg would be interested in making their MDS Software, which is used in assessing the care needs of older people, available in the UK. These discussions lead to the formation of AIS Assessement and Intelligence Systems Corp, of which I am now CEO. HealthSystems Consultants have worked very closely with AIS since its formation and supply much of the resource that we needed in the UK including an office. We have made, and will continue to make, a significant contribution towards improving the care of older people by helping the objectives set out in the National Service Framework for the care of older people start to become a reality. We could not have done this without the skill and experience of the HealthSystems people who work with us."

As one of the sites that pioneered the use of Hospital Information Systems in the UK, Darlington Memorial Hospital (now part of South Durham Healthcare NHS Trust) has long been aware of the importance of the timely availability of information. Early in 2001 the Trust decided that the time had come to update its disaster recovery plans and asked six consulting firms to tender and make a presentation. HealthSystems Consultants were chosen on the basis that their team had an in-depth understanding of IM&T in the NHS as well as specialised expertise in disaster recovery planning."

"I am an interim Chief Information Officer and during the last three years have spent time with two major healthcare delivery systems; one in Oregon and the other in Missouri. In both cases they lacked useable disaster recovery plans and I needed expert help. HealthSystems Consultants provided both the disaster recovery expertise and the in-depth knowledge of the applications which included online prescribing and medical records. I, and more importantly our IT users, were well satisfied with the results of HealthSystems Consultants work.

“Healthcode retained HealthSystems Consultants to undertake a Healthcare Market Assessment. This assessment enabled us to take a clear look at our capabilities and value proposition from a variety of key perspectives and related these to the healthcare market and specific NHS business opportunities. We have now asked HealthSystems to help us with two further areas of work in developing a Service Portfolio for Healthcode products and services, and in conducting business process analysis in conjunction with a leading private healthcare insurer."

Following competitive tender, HealthSystems Consultants were selected to carry out a comprehensive review of the clinical system implementation at the South Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust. The HealthSystems team worked closely with both Trust and Supplier staff to identify and analyse the real issues and concerns, and were able to provide positive and practical recommendations and guidance on the way forward, which take into account both local healthcare community and national IT programme contexts.”

HealthSystems undertook a comprehensive financial and performance review of all the projects in the "EHH" LIS scheme - 50 in number to the value of £2 million. This was conducted thoroughly and to time, enabling the LIG to exercise proper accountability and then devolve responsibility to individual PCTs."

“In August 2003, HealthSystems Consultants were selected by Thames Valley Ambulance Services to develop an Outline Business Case for the procurement of an electronic Patient Report Form. This project covered three Ambulance Trusts and a number of stakeholder organisations in the Thames Valley. Its conclusion provided new thinking on the role of the electronic Patient Report Form in the wider context of NHS plans for emergency care reform.
By conducting wide-ranging reviews and workshops, HealthSystems were able to develop a strategic solution for the procurement that placed the ePRF clearly in the context of Emergency Medical Services reform and the local implementation planning for the NHS Care Record Programme. The result was strong buy-in for the project in Thames Valley, not only from the three Ambulance Trust Chief Executives but also from the other stakeholders, the Chief Information Officer and staff involved in the National Programme for IT and NCRS."
John Nichols, Chairman, ePRF Project Board and CE, Oxfordshire Ambulance Trust

'HealthSystems was commissioned to undertake a review of the management costs allocation across the three PCTs that emerged from the Ealing, Hammersmith and Hounslow Health Authority. The report that was produced was of high quality and produced a persuasive argument for radical changes in the formula for distribution'.
Dr Sally Hargreaves, CEO of Hammersmith & Fulham PCT
