The concept of care networks crossing multiple NHS organisations
with many and diverse physical facilities and systems, came into
being with the formation of care networks.
HealthSystems were in the vanguard of this work, being selected
by the South West London Cancer Network (SWLCN) to assist them
in their strategic thinking and, having evolved the strategy, helping
them to test the market to identify suitable products to help deliver
the strategy.
We were also commissioned by the Royal College of Paediatrics
and Child Health and the Department of Health to specify CHIeLD,
the proposed child care network, to link the major paediatric centres
of excellence with GPs, parents and other appropriate people.
Care networks have huge potential but have complex information
and care pathway issues, with which we can help.
