Benefit planning and realisation

A Four Phase Service

The HealthSystems approach to Benefit Planning and Realisation is to work in close co-operation with our client thus ensuring transfer of knowledge from our team to yours. This collaborative approach also encourages ownership and commitment to the new process.

Process mapping techniques are used in the documentation and analysis of current and new processes to facilitate the documentation, communication and comparison of processes. The entire approach is LEAN based.

A four-phased approach is taken:

Phase 1: Analysis

  • Team building and awareness
  • Analysis and documentation of current working practices
  • Review of supporting organisational structures
  • Identification of inefficiencies, duplications and delays in the existing system
  • Identify benefits from better information
  • Establish performance improvement metrics

Phase 2: Plan

  • Design and document the new processes
  • Recommend changes to organisational structures
  • Obtain consensus on best practice
  • Review expected benefits and performance indicators
  • Produce migration plan for the required processes
  • Identify risks and how best to contain them

Phase 3: Implement

  • Implement migration plan
  • Document new working practices
  • Provide staff training
  • Monitor and manage risks

Phase 4: Monitor

  • Monitor performance indicators identified in Phase 1
  • Identify and quantify the value of each benefit that has been achieved
  • Highlight areas for process improvement.
