Good education and training is expensive, but a lack of it can
be catastrophically costly.
HealthSystems are very good at assessing training and competency
situations, defining training needs and putting the relevant training
programmes in place. Our principal area of training work is "the use of health
informatics" which must not be translated to IT (and hence technical).
Health Informatics has been defined as "the knowledge, skills
and systems which enable information to be collected, managed,
used and shared to help the delivery of healthcare and to promote
good health management".
